Jo Cresswell was born in London of Jamaican parentage. She has a BA (Hons) Fine Art Printmaking degree from Brighton. Jo lives in the beautiful Sussex countryside, surrounded by nature and various animals all of which inspire her work.

Fascinated by structure and colour in the natural world, Jo has travelled extensively. Travel has widened her palette and subject matter but has not overshadowed

that which is close to home. She has appreciation for what may seem insignificant and engages the eye to look more closely at what could easily be overlooked and lost. 

Jo works in a variety of media including painting, printmaking and collage, and is currently completing a children’s book full of colourful illustrations and poetry inspired by a journey to the Okovanga Delta in Botswana.

She has exhibited throughout the UK and her work is collected widely.
